When It Comes to Making Comix

Dave Sims | Independent Artist
Posted 1 May 2020

After teaching for over thirty years in the trenches of academe, Dave Sims now dwells and creates in the old mountains of central Pennsylvania. His words and images appear on the covers and inside the pages of dozens of print and online publications, as well as in online galleries and juried exhibits. His totem poles have caught the attention of many strangers, and his music making and singing have been known to leave listeners shaking their heads in disbelief. Much of his art and comix (both published and yet to be) can be seen and read at his website, tincansims.com. He is also a Featured Artist at the Raw Art Review / Uncollected Press, which in 2020 will be publishing his short story collection The Carcass and Other Stories, featuring a full-color cover and interior black and white images of paintings by the author. Look for new work forthcoming in the Penn Review, Thin Air, Jelly Bucket, and Ramblr.
