Elys Dolan is a PhD researcher based at the Centre for Children’s Book Studies at the Cambridge School of Art, UK, where she also teaches on the MA in Children’s Book Illustration. Elys’ doctoral studies focus on conducting practice-led research into Humour in Picturebooks, specifically concerning how humour is generated through practice. Elys is an internationally published children’s author and illustrator working with publishers including Oxford University Press, Candlewick and Hachette.
